  1. Well, then if someone ends up in the emergency room after an accident because they were not wearing their seat belt and they cannot pay, their wages should be garnished until they have. I certainly don't want to pay for stupid people's injuries.
    What about kids? Is it ok for the gov't to mandate their seatbelt use?

  2. kids are not legally capable of making their own decisions. the real question is whether parents have the authority to decide what constitutes an appropriate level of safety for their kids or whether it's up the state to define a minimum level.
